Because there may be a judicial vacancy on our Circuit Court bench and the LCBA Board of Directors wants to ensure that the voices of our members are heard on this issue, a special meeting of the membership of the Loudoun County Bar Association will be held on Monday, August 22 at noon to permit any member who wishes to individually express his/her level of confidence in Judge Irby to do so by secret ballot. The meeting will be held in the Board Room in the County Government Center located at 1 Harrison Street, S.E., Leesburg. Voting will begin after the meeting is called to order and will conclude at approximately 12:15 p.m.  Should you not be able to attend the meeting in person, a ballot will be emailed to all members later this week.  Each member will only be able to vote once.  Email ballots must be delivered to the Secretary by close of business (5:00 p.m.) on Friday, August 19.  All votes will be counted and the results announced at the end of the Special Meeting and through a follow up email.  The results will be forwarded to the General Assembly’s Courts of Justice Committees as well as the Loudoun delegation to the General Assembly.

The ballot may be downloaded here.
